GM of Atrium Contracts

Mike advises founders and executives on how to think practically about their legal risk, creatively about their commercial contracts, and strategically about their partnerships. He has spent his career specializing in legal issues relating to product development and growth, such as intellectual property, consumer protection, and privacy and data law. Mike is committed to providing clients with practical advice that can help them take bold action in the face of uncertainty.

Mike left his prior legal practice to co-found a contract analytics company, and now manages a team of attorneys and legal professionals at Atrium delivering tailored legal solutions to clients in a wide variety of industries. He regularly advises clients on deals such as strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and complex licensing arrangements. He also advises clients on how to structure and negotiate their routine business contracts with customers, suppliers, distributors, licensors, and other partners.

When not advising startup clients, Mike has provided pro bono legal services to refugees, asylum seekers, and prisoners seeking clemency. He is a trained vocalist and Shakespearean actor, former Magic: the Gathering State Champion, and connoisseur of Chicago hot dogs. He is licensed in both Illinois and California.
